M82 - Unusual Edge-on Galaxy in Ursa Major

Description:
This exceptional and unusual edge-on galaxy is in Ursa Major, very close to M81.
Telescope:
Takahashi FC-100 apo refractor (4" f/8)
Camera, Film and Exposure:
Starlight Xpress MX-916 CCD camera in high-res/progressive mode.
Luminance: 5 x 2m + 5 x 3m + 1 x 4m (29m total)
R, G, B: 5 x 2m
Processing:
All images acquired, dark-subtracted and summed in Astroart. LRGB combining and DDP processing in Maxim DL.
Mount, Guider, etc:
Takahashi EM200b mount unguided
Date and Location:
11-Mar-2001 (nearly full moon!) at 9:00pm - 12 midnight from the sidewalk in front of my home in the SF Bay Area, California.
Seeing, Transparency and Conditions:
Seeing was decent, approx. 6-7/10. Transparency was quite good but the nearly full moon limited naked eye mag to approx. 3.8 Temperate, no wind.
Comments:
Great widefield visual object with M81 and NGC 3077.
